How do I create my profile?
Sign up as a candidate, confirm your email address, then follow the onboarding steps: your background, languages, experience, skills and preferences. You can add a profile photo and a CV (PDF, up to 5 MB) at any time.
A complete profile helps restaurants understand you — and improves the match percentage shown on internships.
Who can see my profile and CV?
Nobody, until you apply. When you apply, only the restaurant you applied to can see your profile and the CV attached to that application. CV links expire after five minutes.
How do I apply to an internship?
Open an internship and choose Apply. Add a short message and your availability, confirm your CV, and send. You can follow every application under Applications.
What do the application statuses mean?
Applied → Viewed → Shortlisted → Interview → Offer → Accepted. A restaurant can also mark an application as Not selected. You'll get a notification each time the status changes.
How do interviews work?
When a restaurant moves your application to Interview, you'll usually arrange the details with them in Messages. The format — call, video or a trial day — is up to each restaurant.
How do I accept or decline an offer?
When a restaurant makes an offer, open the application and choose Accept or Decline. Agree the practical details — dates, hours, pay and accommodation — directly with the restaurant before you accept.
Can I withdraw an application?
Yes, from the application page, as long as it hasn't been accepted, declined or closed.
Does Commis help with visas?
Commis doesn't arrange visas or work permits. Each internship shows whether the restaurant offers visa support — check that before applying, and confirm the details with the restaurant. Requirements depend on your nationality and the country you'll work in, so check the official guidance for that country.
Is accommodation included?
It depends on the restaurant. Internships show whether accommodation is available and, if so, any cost. You can filter internships to those offering accommodation, and add an accommodation need to your preferences.
What does the match percentage mean?
It's a simple, transparent score based on your destinations, cuisines, languages, availability, experience and accommodation needs. It isn't AI, and it never accepts or rejects an application.
How do I download or delete my data?
Open your profile and choose Privacy & data. You can download a copy of your data or permanently delete your account.
